How do i find out my paint colour and code?
I appreciate the paints 40 year old maybe although i think its been resprayed at some point the same colour. Either part or full respray.
An old dude said to me he thinks was posieden green. I'd rather be sure before i order some.
It's a dark metallic green
Can't load pics right now as the files too big
Just want to touch up some bits.

Paint code is found on the edge of drivers door jam. I've found the paint codes are sometimes listed under Rover, depending on list they are looking at. If the car has been resprayed you really have no idea if it was done with original or some variation of it. You'd need to take a "shot" of it so the computer can get as close as it can when it mixes your spray can.

Does the paint shop do the shot thing like they do in b and Q? Do i take the whole car or a picture?

HAF. Posiden green metallic
Looks like it's only had a partial respray. I'll get a wee pot mixed up to see.
I've seen people do a lot of damage with a rattle can

Poison Green code is HAF as far as I can see it was only used on 1980 Canley Cars & 1981 Solihull cars , both TR7 & TR8.

Depends on your technique, some people pick it up quickly, some not so much (much like welding I suspect). I did a paint can touch up on a rear door light switch area that was rusting using a Honda colour (it turned out to be the exact same colour). A year later I took it in so do the whole car and after showing the result to the owner he wanted to hire me (he couldn't tell where it had been painted). So it's not the rattle can, it's the operator.

I sprayed a BBQ last year. Everyone who comes to my house asks who vandalized it. So that's my standard.
I called a local paint place today near my work. He's told me what to buy to repair and paint my bumper then said just bring the car in when it's on the road and I'll sort you out with paint.
Aiming for may 1st to get back on the road
