I am looking for some decent moulded replacement carpets for my 7 & came across this on Ebay. Have any of you forum members from downunder come across them?

Although it was a long time ago, I have used this brand before, not for the TR7, but for another car.
It was fine, fitted good and did what it was meant to do (which isn't much, it just had to fit, sit and stay put without falling to bits)
It was in a work ute and copped an absolute hiding, often soaking wet, always filthy and all manner of indignities inflicted upon it, the carpet out lasted the car.

What this company does is they use the floor pan of the actual model of car to mould the carpet to the required shape. So it should fit well.
I guess they cut the required floor pan out of a wreck make a jig to keep it in shape and
then keep it on hand until required, they must have a pretty big range so must have a shit load of moulding jigs.

Yes, & mine are now 15 years old.

If they have not changed their mould they will take a bit of fiddling. Mine are 2.5" narrow at the front, but fit perfectly at the back. This is not much of a problem, as unless the whole dash & ventilation system is out, you will have to split it at the front to get it round the ventilation system drain.

I had my spares car to practice on, & had to split it up the centre to the back of the gear stick cut out to get a nice fit. Not a problem as all forward of there is covered by trim or bodywork.

Still looks OK at 15 years.

Hi Habeen
I wasn't sure which TWOA you meant, so I looked it up & came up with the following:-

Te Wananga O Aotearoa (Maori tertiary education provider; New Zealand)
Tennessee Wildlife Officer's Association
Two Weeks of Awesome (internet video channel)

Assuming it wasn't one of these I tried again and finally located the Triumph Wedge Owners Association which appears to be the correct one :)

I replaced my carpets with the flat (Rimmers style) versions in my car about 8 years ago & after 30k miles they are really tatty and simply don't stay in place so I want something more robust. Both your & Cobbers answers confirm that they are well made so I will be following it up.

Cheers

They come in 2 types:
Cut pile & loop pile.
The loop pile is more robust and durable and the cut pile which is more luxurious.

They do look nice. However, with the older style ones that come in 7 (ish) individual bits are good as that way if you damage one bit, you can replace just that. You do not have to replace the whole thing.
