MOT woes

Booked the 7 in for it's MOT yesterday at the local garage, who tested it last year.

Only to be told by the tester man "computer says NO". Sorry to any overseas members but that's a joke from a TV comedy series.

Anyway back to the main story, the tester couldn't find the 7 on his computer system, so wasn't able to carry out the MOT test, telling me to come back in a few days with the registration document to prove the chassis number was correct, and the registration/maunfacture date.

Anyone else had a similar problems, or is it my local garage not wanting to think too much about what he's doing.

Yes tell him to look under Rover. Had the same problem with trying to get the tracking set up.

Sometimes the Triumph paint codes are listed under Rover as well.

I've got to mot my wedge shortly. I've used the same place for several years, each time I take the old certificate and each time they say they don't need it as everything's on some central record.

It looks like I'll be taking all the docs with me just in case.
