"Garage find" - opinions please

The father in law of a friend passed away earlier this year after a long illness and I was asked for my opinion on the old mans TR7 stored in his garage in a Carcoon. My friend is not into cars and is wondering what the value of it would be because it will be sold.

Bear in mind that I looked at it tucked away by the light of my phone because we could not get the garage door open (which I accept makes life difficult when it comes to value), but this car appears absolutely immaculate. Looking at the tax disc it was last on the road in 2008 but the car is stored in a carcoon (although there has been no electric for the last couple of months). I unzipped the carcoon and could only get to the passengers side but the paint looks immaculate and the hood is a matching burgundy with grey piping and stitching. I ran my hand round the wheel arches and the bottom of the drivers door and there is no rust at all, underbonnet is also great condition. It sits on a set of black Revolution alloys. It appears to be in showroom condition.

Although not driven it does look like it was cared for during lay up because there is a trickle changer connected to the battery.

There is no doubt in my mind, despite the far from ideal viewing, that this is a car in fantastic condition, albeit not on the road for a number of years due to illness.

So, what are your thoughts? The car is located in Devon, UK.

This was part of a large batch of cars put out by BL during their demise .. all carrying the KON prefix

Value will depend on so many thing but probably a guide would be £3000-5000
