It's my Birthday!

Postby Ianftr8 » 26 Oct 2015 20:52

This week 26th October - 8th November shows as the build period on my Heritage Certificate for my TR8 KDU 315V, seems they weren't overly quick!

The Destination was "intended for California" but she never made it across the pond so has been knocking around in a small triangle between Essex, Hertfordshire and North East London ever since sold out from Rover Triumph British Leyland UK Ltd. The dealer was B.L Cars Ltd, B & A ( I understand that this is Body and Assembly) Lode lane, Solihull.

One day I'll find the time to get myself to Gaydon and see what else I can find.

So what is the story for your car??

Cheers
Ian

My ACN TR8 has a similar history, Ian. Built at Speke in July 77 as a California spec TR8 destined for Los Angeles but never went across the pond.

Instead the car went to Canley as part of the engineering development fleet. From what I can find out it was used mostly for environmental chamber work & latterly converted to EFI development for the (never to be) 1982 MY cars. Still running the EFI now.
