Grab yourself a bargain - 'How to restore.....' book

For anyone interested - this appears to be a real bargain for someone. Having 2 copies already it is of no interest to me but considering how much they can go for it is well worth the cost - £20.00 plus postage.

Gordon - I am glad to see it has gone to someone who will use it rather than just try and sell it on for a profit.
This was considerably cheaper than the one I bought so I think you have done well with this one.
Marc.

I bought mine just over 5 years ago for £7.95 from the Boundry store on the A1,
The only problem with my book is that it is in pieces now, actually most of my books are like this, I must use them too much

I always wondered why they didn't re-print it considering the amount of interest there seems to be in the book and the prices of some of them. I thought it might worthwhile even if some of the clubs got together and contacted the publishers.

That would be good, it would burst the bubble on those that are trying to make vast profit out of a great tool for those of us that are interested in the restoration of our cars.

Just bought one and it came through really quick.
Only flicked through, but looks a useful and interesting read.

I've got two lying around somewhere. Don't know where I picked up the second one but it's a little water logged. I found it kind of generic, nor specific enough for my liking.

I've had a bit more of a read through now, and yes it's quite a high level and a little light on details in place - but I do think it's a useful book to have. I'm thinking of overhauling my seats and the section here was really useful.

Had a look at the google version.
Some of those pictures bring back nightmares!
If I had read it first I may not have bought a 7.

I have ended up with copies and yes some areas are high level but it has already come in useful on my rebuild and at the price is well worth having. Mine sits next to the loo so I can contemplate the next job in the restoration - whenever I feel the need
