Gearbox cover removal

Postby nick » 16 Jun 2015 23:10

Could some give me the combination that unlocks the rear cover from the gearbox. This is my third time at doing this job and each time the cover stops with drawing after about an inch of movement. And to save my life I can't remember how I've removed it in the past. The rear seal is out. The speed cable attachment is out. What's holding the cover on?

I had an epiphany. The key is you have to remove the two 10mm bolts that hold the plug in that supports change selector rod. Then the cover pulls off the output shaft without a fuss. That's what I forgot.
