Hi,
Posted this yesterday morning on the ' old forum ' thinking about it I guess one of the last new threads on there ! Plus want to check picture posting behaves the same etc.
Went to a show on New Years Day at Stoney Stratford this year, got chatting to gent about my car, the FHC, anyway it turns out the gent was the New Car Sales Manager at Dunham And Haines at Leighton Buzzard ' back in the day '. They were also stockists of SAH Triumphtune parts. He had several TR7's over the years as company car's, they were fitted with SAH parts sort of a rolling demo vehicle if you like. He was also involved in the TR8 rally car that Mr Dunham ran in the UK rally series too. A very interesting guy to talk, plus as the motor trade is a small world we knew many people between us.
He mentioned at the time he had a few brochures at home and wondered if I was interested, I gave him my address and forgot about it, as you do !
Last week a large brown envelope arrived containing a couple of brochures ( I already but these are stamped with Dunham & Haines so great as a local BL dealer ) and even better a sales mans guide to the TR7 Happy Days plus for nowt !!
Gent owns a Mk2 Golf GTI so hopefully see him out and about this summer.
