Finding Cadmium Simulated Paint
Posted: 19 Feb 2015 14:06
After seeing the painted brake booster in a post down below, years ago I remember seeing a aerosol paint that simulated cadmium plating, you know the translucent faintly gold colour. I haven't been able to find any yet but would like to get a hold of some. Has any one else remember seeing it and if it can be bought now?
They sometimes just stop making good stuff. In 2007 I used some aircraft paint stripper on my windshield lower cover. It crinkled the paint and when dry the paint could be just pulled off, no muss no fuss. I went to get some last year after using some less than desirable paint stripper from the auto parts store I had initially bought it from and they said the company was bought out by another and they stopped making it and just made their own which was vastly inferior. Maddening.
