My wipers did this once, the parking switch mechanism in the wiper motor gears broke and the motor is peculiar to only TR7 and Stags I was advised.Refurbed seemed stupidly expensive for such a small component failure so I spent an enjoyable few hours making a repair piece of metal which operated the parking switch.Steve..

Parking switch could be out of adjustment. Switch position can be adjusted with mechanism in car as motor can be pulled out abit and switch position adjusted. A little one way then the other if that doesn't work. If the little tab is broken some times they can be repaired. I had cracked mine while I had it out and soldered it. It didn't take so I reinforced it with a strip of copper from plumbing strap and resoldered it. Been working 7 years now.

i took the cover off the motor and found the copper arm that moves the nylon block to the off position had snapped off. I have soldered it back together and the problem solved.
Thanks for your advice that got me to start at the motor, I was going to start at the switch so this has saved me hours of testing.
