Postby 55chevy » 04 Jun 2014 17:20

This is a very nice looking TR7 but why pose as a TR8?

A bit of a disconnect. A really nice TR7 but who do you think you are kidding with the TR8 logo. Even with a V8 it will still not be a TR8. Better to put in the V8 and leave the TR7 logo so you at least have a sleeper.

Looks nicely done, but that paint job looks way too much like my first car; a 1970 Ford Maverick! Mine was more this color:

But that is not a good memory.

I seem to recall the Maverick had much higher first days sales than the original Mustang in 1964.

You are kidding right???? How many plain jane Chevelles did and do carry Super Sport emblems? Isn't the M3 emblem for BMW world wide the most sold part in it's parts inventory? How many Mustang's then and now seem to wear GT emblems. Camaro's with the Z/28 emblems? Porsche 911S? There are more 427 vettes in exsistance now then GM ever built.............it just goes on and on.

It's what people do, for many reasons I'm sure. He didn't fool you did he? Probably won't anyone else either.

Very nice car with what looks like alot of powder coating. I'm sure he's losing a few grand selling it at that price. Decals do not bother me.... but, those black accents....not that's what I don't understand!!!!!!!!!!! When a little more is way too much I guess.

Wow! If it is as good as it looks it will be a really great car.

On the price, I spent 50% more than that just rebuilding the engine & cooling system.

He could have a graphic on the back saying it was a V16 flying carpet, & I'd still want it.

My 8 is completely nude. My son & I could not decide whether silver or black decals would look best on the blue, so we did not fit any.

I have been accused of having a great Maserati, Ferrari, Jaguar & even MG. I have had people standing in a car park, waiting for me to fire it up, to find out what car made that beautiful noise, but only half a dozen have known it was a Triumph, & none knew it was an 8.
