Special paint

I am looking to spray my bumper and the headlight surrounds to give them a nearly new look but durable at the same time.

I want to keep them black, but it will be for plastic and rubber and not scratch easy.

Can anyone recommend any good paints for this which I can use to make them look like new again and which are very durable?

Mine still look new so haven't had to do anything to them yet except use Auto Glym Bumper Care on them. For the Integra I got a aerosol can of Honda Bumper Paint from my local Auto Paint specialist (that supplies auto paint to the industry and the home DIY enthusiast). I would see if you have that type of supplier in your area and see what he carries and what his recommendations are. I haven't tried it yet but if you indeed have to "paint" them you have to take any silicone off the bumper (which other restorers use) with acetone and scrub with a scotch pad so you get a silicone free surface so the paint will stick.

This article is about MGB bumpers, but if you want to go the whole nine yards in restoring them, the process would be the same:

I bought "Detail Doctor instant Restore" (as seen on TV).
It's the best product I've used on plastic and rubber bumpers.
I put it on in the spring and again when I put the car away in the fall.
You use very little so a 8 oz bottle will last years!
Gives it a satin like finish not wet and shiny.
Got it at Walmart in the states very cheap as I remember.
I guess it results would depend on the condition of the bumpers in the first place but worth a try.
