Postby birminghamtr7 » 27 Jan 2014 10:53

I collected the 1976 FHC I got of ebay for £150 yesterday.
I think it may be to much work to recommission. so sadly I think ill be taking drive train out interior and scrapping. needs rear deck repairs windscreen surround repairs. contact me if anyone interested in the shell once ie removed what I want.

It's always amazing how good the exterior can look on one of these; even if it is completely rotten to the core. Sounds like it is worth the cost, just for the pieces. Is this the one with a Sprint engine?

Everything can be restored within reason if you're prepared to spend time and money. This car does look very saveable, but how many projects does one man need ? [:0]

I agree, it looks very saveable, even the doors look good and have good shut lines. I've seen much worse saved and put back on the road.

Couldn't you get a real rotbox (totally unsaveable) and have the bits from that. You could always do this one up and sell and make some money!

That indeed doesn't look to bad.
Looks like you too have a new project [:p]

Simon, I need a large fuel filler cap and the black surround if it has one and you'd be willing to sell and post ?

Cheers, Paul
