New Forrest Run

Postby moestr7v8 » 04 Jan 2014 21:12

As the weather is bloody awful at the moment, we were thinking about the forthcoming Spring and better weather, has anybody got any information on the date of this years forthcoming New Forrest Run?

Hi Moe. I wouldn't be surprised if the New Forest Run was cancelled, to be replaced with a 'Sail your Triumph around the Isle of Wight' event! It would be drier!

No details yet published, Moe. In past years Rex Holford & Keith Cox from TRDC Southern area have been heavily involved in the planning & organising, along with the TSSC Wessex Group.

It's a huge organisational task as I am sure you can imagine, I do hope that the event takes place this year, it's one of the best events that is held "down South".

Hi Andrew yes, that would not supprise me if this weather keeps up!!!!!!!!!
How is your situation with your house being flooded, has the water level gone down?

Hi Tony it certainly is a massive task organising the event,we had booked to enter last year but due to family problems we were unable to take part,so looking forward to taking part this year, as you say it is an excellent and well organised day out,I agree with you that it is the best event in the south.

Cheers

I understand that the date of this year's run will be Sunday 6th April. This is a bit earlier than usual but will avoid clashing with the cycling event that has caused some difficulties in the past. I guess full details will be available shortly.
