How many left?

Looking at the latest figures on the website it says there were only 15 manual 1976 TR7's registered during the 2nd quarter of this year. You would think that the 2nd quarter should be fairly representative of cars that are road worthy as people would normally tax for the summer during this period. The figure just seems very low considering how many P and R reg cars turn up (I appreciate R reg can be 1977).

Perhaps everyone with early cars that are on the road are active members, but 15 is fairly small.

Cheers Paul,

1976 TR7 2.0 FHC, ACG 3115 - Java Green (on the road)
1976 TR7 2.0 FHC, ACG 2367 - Carmine Red (on the road)
1980 TR7V8 3.9 DHC, Orient Blue (on the road)
1977 TR7V8 4.0 FHC rally car, ACG 35005 - Tahiti Blue (complete, no MOT)

Well I've had two of them.

I have to agree Paul, this figure does seem very low.

You can add mine to the 1976 total, however, it's on the OTHER side of the ocean, and the steering wheel is on the OTHER side of the car, as well as I drive on the OTHER side of the road.

Do other countries list the models of car still on the road like we do in the UK?

With the US as the primary export market, it would be interesting to see how many are still on the road there.

I will get our registrar to give the figures from our SA club register but I would imagine most are 1979 to 81.

Pretty sure she meant OTHER. We started out on WRONG side of the road but seeing the error or our ways and not to proud to admit it, at the beginning of the last century we switched to the CORRECT side of the road. Not wanting to offend anyone (we're Canadian, eh?) we called it the OTHER side (as did Mildred did) or when amongst ourselves the right hand side of the road (as in the RIGHT side).[:p]

No count available here from registration records that I know of. Each state is responsible for registering vehicles. So there are 50 data bases US wide. I don't know that any of them are accessible to the general public.

Oregon's used to be but people got outraged that their personal information was available for anyone to see. Rightfully so since everything was on the record including owner's SSN and address.
