Sounds just like my dear old 97 Passat.
Just keeps going, costs pennies to run and attracts no attention.
Leaves me enough cash to spend on the old 7 and have some fun when it counts.

My '97 Nissan Maxima qualifies. Approaching 237,000 miles on the clock it still runs quietly and smoothly. In fact it is quieter than my wife's '07 Subaru with a fifth of the mileage on it. The Maxima is also powerful yet economic. 190 hp 210 ft/lbs and near 30 US mpg on the freeway. It was practically trouble free its first 200,000 miles but since then I have replaced the alternator and starter and original plastic tanked radiator. I also have bad CV joints now. Still I'd rather take it on a long trip than any of my other vehicles. It is large, roomy, and comfortable; yet powerful and has excellent handling too. It's unfortunate that Nissan decided to exclusively use the CVT transmission after the 2006 model year. I'll never own another, I have to have a manual transmission.

You beat me to it Ron, I was going to suggest a tilt tray tow truck.
