Beautiful car for sure!
I'm curious about what the costs are to ship a vehicle and the required support equipment for a hobby like this such a distance? Clearly not a hobby for the average gent like me. Not to mention I could not afford a car of such spec. [:(]

I used to work with a guy (he drove a courier truck for one of the major couriers) that was involved in organizing local island rallying and drove in Targa Newfoundland (other end of Canada) and Targa Tasmania (other end of the world). Don't know the costs involved but the secret is SPONSORSHIP.

just as an example , Targa Newfoundland registration fees for entering one car is 5895$. This does not include traveling there, lodging, food, fuel and racing expenses........big time money for a little joy eh!

Sure it's not the whole story but I see one company quoting £855 RoRo one way. I also see that (excepting special circumstances such as the rally) cars have to be less than 4 years old. Rather puts paid to my plan to retire there and take a Tr with me!

The organisers are now posting videos of the various stages, check this out if you thought the Caribbean/Barbados is all about beach holidays.

Interesting, I have a project out there and when I was there last August there were lots of vehicles looked over 4 years old. Maybe they just age very quickly! Must look more closely next ime I visit.

I think the 4 year old rule applies to the permanent importation of second hand cars. There is a Classic Car Club which holds meetings and events, a Motor Museum, a Race Circuit and the Sol International Rally. And they got a Concorde, Not bad for an island 21 miles long and 14 miles wide!

I understand that the European cars arrived today, In insight into the shipping here...
