So who actually got out in their Triumph today?
I saw several MG's about but only one Triumph and that was a very nice looking Spitfire!
My dad got his TR7 V8 out for its first proper run in nearly 5 years! It ran beautifully and was great in this sunny weather!
Here's a picture of my dad looking silly!
So has anyone else got any photos from today? [:)]
Thanks
Greg

Didn't do it today but yesterday the club went to Qualicum High School where one of the members who teaches auto and metal shop has the students restoring two Spitfires (they did two last year). Works them hard but they love it as it's a change from their rice rockets. No girls in auto yet but he has them in metal class where they do welding and make steam engines. Did a powder coating demo, cut some brackets on plasma cutter and cut a Spitfire dash on CNC router. Some did a scavenger hunt and some (me too) went straight to English pub (Black Goose).

Gaz, what are you doing with a van customized in the small town of Albertville, AL? That's just 30 miles from me and I am so used to seeing that spare tire cover it took a minute to register that the pic was taken across the pond. Every vacation I went on as a child was in a van customized at the same place.

Thanks for sharing that about Global Customs.
The van was converted 1992 and exported to the UK 1998 then picked up by me a few weeks ago.
I don't suppose you know if the company still exists I would love to know more about them etc.

I don't know if they are still in business, the vans were sold through local car dealerships and not directly from Global Customs. I did find this link to a phone number though.

This is the dealership that we bought ours from, though the name has changed.
