It sounds like Odd was spot on with getting his VIN number stamped on even when it really wasn't there originally.
This must happen with other classic cars that were made before VIN numbers became industry standard?
I have heard about disputes where a famous car suddenly appears in two versions. One has the right numbers and the other has the rights bits or combinations of the two. Not really a big problem for us as our cars do not have enough value to make it worth cheating - yet.
