sill trim clips

I've purchased some sill trim clips, and don't know how to affix them to the car. Yes, I'll drill a hole, but once I've put the clip in, how do I keep it there? Am I to use a rivet to expand inside the plastic clip? That doesn't seem reasonable. It must be an easy thing to do, but I'm missing something. Is anyone familiar with these little black clips?

take the long pin at the outside en put it with a short hammer blow in, the clip has itself fastened.

Thanks so much, I figured it would've been a simple solution. I've left my sills body colour (very bright yellow) and the black trim will/should break up the large span of yellow. Yes, I will try to post a pic even before I tint the windows lightly.

If you do install the trim, the very front clip on each side of the car was secured with a pop rivet. All the others just used the plastic plug.

I don't think one went through the end piece. It was the only one in the front wing but I think it was behind the end piece.

Pardon my ignorance but I don't recognize that part. Where does it go and what does it do?

They hold the trim on that runs along the sill under the door. On most US cars it lays right on the line at the top of the black sill paint. Like on Dutch Triumph's photo, it holds the long thin black trim.
