Spark Plug Leads - Angled or Straight Connection

Someone will know or more to the point recommend the shape of the Ignition lead cap ends which fit to the spark plugs.

Are they suppose to be straight which seem to bring them near the exhaust manifold or angled to direct them away ?

I'm straight presently but may go 'bent' if you get my drift.
The ones on a Stag Engine look ok.

Time to change mine when I fit electronic ignition ( yes still on points ) so any ideas ?

Oh yes it is the 4 cylinder original TR7 Engine 1981.

The original green Ripault(?) ignition cables featured a bent boot on the spark plug end to provide clearance and a better grip when removing them.
