Anyone managed to straighten up sagging convertible bumpers without losing the benefit of the harmonic weights? supercass

Jclay did a write-up on this, bolting through the rubber mounts to pull them back to straight. I had to play with the bumper fit quite a bit after body work last year; there is a lot of room for adjustment once you loosen everything up under there. I added a couple metal spacers under the bottom edge of the mounting plate and it made a big difference.

We took the weights out of the 8s bumper a couple of years ago.
It made absolutely no difference to the scuttle shake, or the sagging either.

I am using a coupe bumper on my TR8 and have notice no difference except my bumper does not droop.
