How many miles this year?

My TR7V8 has another 12 month's MOT as of today - no advisories.

I use a garage close to where Robsport used to be. It's a 90 mile round trip but it's a nice high speed drive, they know our wedges very well, are used to testing Classics and Robsport is only a few miles further north if I'm after some parts.

However, the mileage between tests shows I've covered less than 800 miles in the last 12 months.[:0] If I deduct 90 mile for the return MOT trip and 50 miles for commuting to work last week, that's leaves only 650 miles.[:0]

If we hadn't experienced such atrocious weather in the UK this year it would be closer to 3,000 miles.

How many have you done?

Adam

I do about 2,000 miles a year (did 5,000 last year but did 3,000 in one trip[:p]). I'm retired, renoing my house, live on an island and have two other cars as daily drivers so don't have time/opportunity to put on much mileage.

Am I the only one here that keep book on driving/fuel fills etc?!? It's a great way of knowing when it
is time to check the injection for instance. I realized it was time to ultrasonic the injectors in mid July
- when it suddenly had started to use almost twice the normal fuel...

Kind, sirs. The more we drive our cars, the healthier they stay.

I have done over 2000 miles in the Coca Cola car since its rebuild was finished last year, my TR7 convertible has 138,987 on the clock and my TR8 convertible has just crept over 7,000.

I've covered about 5000 miles in the last 12 months, usually I would cover 10k but with the weather this year I am only using it a couple of times a week.

7500 miles last year but it will probably be half that this year due to less weekends away. Stupid economy.

-Sad to say, but very little this year [xx(]

It's been so beautiful and dry here in Quebec, that I've put easily put more than double (if not triple) km's on the pedal-bike this year that the TR7.
Originally I was supposed to use the TR as a DD, but when my new job project plans fizzled, I quickly got my old job back 2 km from home, hence make riding the bike a better alternative for going back and forth to work .... and then the electrical gremlins have kept the cars travel trips shortened, so it really hasn't been a great year for the 'rumf. THree kids, soccer and weekend shift work also greatly reduce the "free" time to play with a presently non-reliable car [;)]

I'm on the look-out for a new DD, and once I find something, the TR will definitely be yanked for a interior strip down, which may lead to "other" plans [?]

Had car just over 2 months and done about 2,500 miles, currently off road for ball joint, track rod end replacement, tracking but I will be back driving it to work in September!
We did nearlyy 600 miles one weekend going to a kit car show and a few other places onthe way home.
The joys of motoring!
