Hi Neil, you had better put in your profile that you are not only impulsive, but a glutton for punishment too. [:D]
Good luck with them all, particularly the 7.

Hi Neil,
[:)] WELCOME TO THE BEST TR7 / 8 FORUM IN THE WORLD EVER [8D]
I brought my FHC on ebay at 4 am at the end of the auction, jumped on a national express coach from Luton to Lancaster, with the owner flying into Heathrow that morning and only available for a day before leaving the country again, no details such as reg. number till mid afternoon whilst still on the coach to insure it. Met the gent at the train station just outside Lancaster, a 5 mile drive into the hills to look at the car, for the first time [:0] in the pouring rain at 7 pm, done the deal, jumped in her and 200 + mile drive back to Luton, with wiper that were next to useless and headlights the loved to break dance !! getting home at 1 am, phew what a day !!! Every rule about buying a car broken but hey, more fun that way !! Plus got a a great car and made a new friend and fellow TR7 owner.
Put some pictures up if you get a chance and enjoy her [8D]
Cheers John

Bought my Spider on eBay, paid a bundle (for an eBay car). It had been stored for 7 years under a tarp but owner thought I could drive it back. Took a Greyhound bus to Sacramento, then the new LRT line out to Folsom (last station). Owner picked me up a station and I drove it back 1,441 Km in three days (as required by US customs) with no problems other than 55mph shimmy caused by bad tires. Got a rust free original car. It's called an adventure. Not a newbie anymore.[8D]

Another eBay buyer here...Saw it in person before bidding on it (was local). Mine was ending about an hour before the clubs closed at 2AM,so I went out and partied, then left prior to that and went to my neighbor's house that had the high-speed internet (I only had dial-up at the time). He was like "what are you getting -now-?",since he knew I made purchases on there before. "Um...(pause) a car? (sheepish grin)"
Apparently 3 other people were interested at that time of night, cause there was a mini bidding war. But I won it![:D] Will be driving it to the Vintage Gran Prix this weekend in Pittsburgh PA.

Welcome to the forum! There's a lot of great folks on here willing to help with just about anything.
After all this talk about impulse buying I guess I'd better stay off Ebay Motors after I've taken my Ambien!
