A quick question, what are the sizes for the fuel hose in the engine bay? and for the carb breather hoses between the cars and cam cover.

Std 2.0Ltr engine.

I reckon 8mm internal dia fuel and 12.5mm ID for the breather, am I corect?

Well I am nearly correct, 8.0mm to and from the petrol pump, 6.4mm to the carbs. I had some 6.4mm in stock and bought some 8.0 mm.

The pipe from the petrol pump looked like it was spliting so problem the cause of the smell I had last ime I used the car a fortnight ago.

There is a break in the left hand carb breather hose but I could get suitable hose yet.

Can't remember the size Pete, so no help there. Any spare parts shop should have a suitable fuel hose.

Do be careful of what you buy. I have had new fuel hose split in less than 18 months.

I recently got some fuel injection hose, & replaced all mine. The injection hose has to handle much higher pressure, & does appear to be better quality. It definitely is made with more dense rubber. I had to tighten the hose clips on this much tighter than on the ordinary stuff, to get it fuel tight on the carb & fuel pump fittings, so ask for fuel injection hose.

For breather hoses, I simply asked the local GM dealer for a breather hose of the same size. Bought a long one with a couple of bends, & cut it up for the 7. There is still some left. I must be catching the smarts from Mildred with her parts sourcing.
