Headlights - DON'T PANIC

OK, so I admit I had been a bit complacent about the headlights on the TR7. I have read all the various dramas that folks have had and didn't worry because mine always worked fine - until today.
The right side one has always been a shade slower to raise and lower than the left but today it hesitated then refused to come up at all. It was lit but going nowhere.
Bit of a panic from me, trying to think what to test first. Where to start?
So I went to the forum and searched the headlight articles and normal service has been resumed - phew !!
Most of the advice was to do the simple things first, check and clean the red connector in the front corner and the earth connection.
I did just that and it works every time now.

So, a big thank you to the forum, long may it continue.

Nice! Excellent.
I used to get all worked up over problems w/my wedges back when I first got into the addiction. Now if I cant seem to find an answer on my own, the very next place I visit is this here forum! Lotsa great info and people on here!! [:D]

Rather than clean just one connector (electrical contact) clean them all. Not only do you eliminate that next problem that creep in at an inopportune time. Your lights will be brighter (less resistance in the circuit). Never had any problems with my lights or electrical in last 5 years. Mind you that won't stop a bulb from burning out. Oh I did have one problem, starter wouldn't start, dirty contact in the plug that plugs into starter relay. I had cleaned it but not well enough.
