I bought my plane ticket and my three day pass for the Portland Historics, July 6-8. http://www.portlandhistorics.com/spectators/ticket.html One of the great features of the Historics is a chance to do a parade lap around Portland International Raceway. Hope to see some of you NW guys there with the Portland Triumph Owners.

I wish I could go but it is not looking very promising right now. It is a lot of fun but I haven't been to it for years now. Did you get your tickets through the PTOA?

Jim, it would be great if you can make it. I called Matt today about getting tickets through PTOA, and put a check in the mail to him. I'm mixing things up a little this year, skipping the ABFM in favor of Labor Day at our cabin, but doing the Portland Historics and the ATDI.

Sounds interesting but I do have to spend some time restoring my house.[:(]

And I always say I'm going to attend more local events (non British specific). There's something every weekend it seems.

The ATDI is up in the air (a possibility) but do plan on ABFM.

I am definitely going to be at the ABFM http://www.abfm-pdx.com/2012. Will most likely be at the ATRDI http://www.portlandtriumph.org/ATDI_Brochure.html and would like to try to make a day trip to the Western Washington ABFM too. http://abfm.com/.

I had to switch majors at school so I'm not graduating in two weeks like I'd planned. I'll be graduating in December now. So, school, repairs on both houses and maybe getting more done on the TR8. I'm not sure I'll be able to do anything but the ABFM Labor Day weekend. I am going to try, so we'll see.

We are going to be at a family reunion in Poulsbo, Washington, the weekend of the Western Washington ABFM. Might try to sneak away from the family for a bit.

Close, but no cigar-I'll be in Portland the first weekend of August instead of July![V]I'd be driving the Escape as well,as I am coming from Pittsburgh PA,and have a feeling I will need the GPS and A/C that the TR unfortunately doesn't have. But have fun and take pics!

Fiveliters,

If you're in Portland the first weekend in August, you should plan to attend the All Triumph Drive-In. It's in Forest Grove, just west of Portland.

All Triumph Drive In for those who don't know is a yearly rotating Triumph meet between Oregon, Washington and British Columbia Triumph clubs. Next year it's in British Columbia but I've been sworn to secrecy as to it's exact location as it's not been officially anounced yet.[:p]

Thanks Ken,I will definitely put that on my to-do list;the wedding is on Saturday, and I'm sure they will be celebrating well into the night. But after that,I am completely unscheduled,so that would be a cool thing to do!

Ken- Doesn't look like I will get that chance to meet you.
I will be relocating to SC in July hopefully and we never did get that chance.
Jim it was great to meet you and I will still be here.

Wow Don, that is a big move. I'm sorry we didn't get to talk longer the times we met. Moving is always a huge pain whether it is across town or cross-country. Good luck with it.

So you're trading in Winter rain for tornados and tropical storms?[:p]

As one that keeps his cars for a long time I always find it sad when someone has to sell a car because of moves etc. It's like having to give away a family pet. [:(]
