Funny how you are never in youre TR7 when you spot another on the road. In this case it was this evening, a red TR7 DHC crossing the A38 from Slimbridge to Cam Gloucestershire, I was travelling south on the A38 in my modern.

Half saw the no plate looked very much like the one on Dursleymans red TR7.

Was it you Russ?

Guilty as charged. It was me.
I was out testing the Sprint engine I have fitted after the old standard one blew a piston. It was supposed to go in the "project" but I had to bring it into service a bit sooner than expected.
Still needs a bit of setting up but in and running OK.

Hi Russ,

Watched the car in my rear mirror as you went round the island. The TR7 looked good, made me wish I had one, then I thought - I do!!!

I fancy a sprint engine sometime, but have to get the Spitfire sorted first.

Its happened again [:o)]

All this week I have being using the TR7 for work enjoying the warm weather, and because of the weather I decided today I would take my modern to work to get the tyres swapped from winter to summer.

Driving home south on the A38 there he was heading north!!!

Russ, next time I will make myself known so if you see a bloke in a black VW brick flashing his lights madly, it will probably be me. [:D]
