<font size="2">Does anyone know what discs Rimmers use with their brake upgrade kit RB7117, that's the one that uses the Rover Vitesse calipers?
Disc should be approx 250-255mm diameter and approx 25mm thick.

I have one of the kits that uses the Princess calipers but have now found some Vitesse calipers and would like to use them if its not too difficult or expensive to get the discs to match.

Have you tried asking Rimmer Brothers? They have specific TR7/8 people on the end of the phone if you ask to speak to them and should be able to answer all these sort of questions.

I was there last week and most impressed with the whole operation - and the people for that matter.

The Rimmers kit with Rover Vitesse calipers uses Toyota Supra discs, but you'll need the all important adapter to be able to use the discs. Its never easy!

hi, i have Ford Capri 2.8inj discs(vented)and calipers which fit straight on and fit under standard size wheels[;)],it is also easier to get the spares from your local motor factors when you need pads/seals ect, they also give awesome stopping power on the TR(which mine is V8 powered)[:D][:p]

Hi Russ,
Try EBC for Toyota Supra 2.8 MA61 1982-86 part D323 or GD323
for groved.
Also Toyota Celica 2.0 RA61 1982-85. (same part no)
vented
258mm dia
top hat hieght 26mm
thickness 20mm
You will need an adapter to fit them and min 14" wheels to clear caliper.
If the price starts to get up look at www.hispecmotorsport.co.uk
they do a nice kit with alloy calipers.

Dont forget there is a spacer between the two halfs of the calipers, i know because i had loads of trouble getting them to stop leaking, after replacement of the calipers i had to rework the cr4p engineering [:(!]

The Supra dimensions look good except the Vitesse calipers have spacers to fit on 25mm discs so I would have to reduce the spacer thickness by 5mm to centre them on the Supra discs. I think if the spacer is taken out altogether the calipers will be too narrow.
Need to do some more serious measuring I think. I will also try to post some pictures to show how it all looks.

In the meantime I need to finish connecting up the pipes and wiring on the Sprint engine we fitted last weekend before I can seriously get round to the brakes.
