NTSC Bullet DVDs

Thanks to Jim and Wayne from the Triumph Wedge Owners Association in the US I was finally cajoled into producing an NTSC version of the Bullet DVD. So if anyone never purchased originally because they didn't think the disc would play on their equipment the TWOA have them and anyone that orders from an NTSC area via www.TriumphDVD.co.uk in future will automatically receive the NTSC version.

To see all the details go to www.bfcc.biz/triumphdvd/bullet.html - I've just updated this page with a load of new stills from the DVD and it looks rather nice (if I say so myself!). I actually spent all of December re-compiling every single shot from the original masters with the latest version of the editing software I use. This has ensured the picture quality in NTSC is just as good as it ever was in PAL. The loss of quality before was the main reason I didn't offer an NTSC version. I felt a bit forced into this of course because all the original copies produced in 2007 had sold out - something I would never have dreamed of when Bullet was first made available.

These DVDs can also be purchased from the forum web site which goes towards some of the running costs - www.triumphtr7.com - it's just below the main item on the home page.

Rule of thumb. The cheap no name Chinese or known name Chinese brands (I use Electrohome) will play Europe's PAL DVD'S. The known brand names Panasonic, Sony etc. will not.

Agreed, this is a MUST HAVE for any wedgehead. The first batch of NTSC DVDs the club received are already spoken for I'm afraid and we didn't even get an advert in the next newsletter yet! It appears they will be selling like hotcakes over here. TWOA have bought a bunch of these in bulk to cut down on shipping costs and TWOA club members thus get them at a discount.

If you're a club member and interested in an NTSC version, please contact Wayne (vicepresident@triumphwedgeowners.org) to get on his waiting list.

This is cool! VERY nice work John. Thanks for taking the project on for us.

And I bought the VERY FIRST ONE!

I've been waiting for a LONG time to get to see this DVD.

Thanks John for working to bring this to the NTSC trapped people in the TWOA!

I have to report that right now 'Bullet' is the biggest selling disc of everything I have done. Stag has outsold it overall but currently 'Bullet' is dwarfing everything thanks to the efforts of the Triumph Wedge Owners Association.

This has got to be good news for our cars as the more people see this the more well known the TR7/8 is going to be. Certainly when initially released the reputation of the model went up as classic car journalists received a much needed education on why the car was the way it was.

Perhaps a new press release is warranted for the NTSC release in an effort to educate a few more journalists??? Any suggestions on how to word that?

Yes John, TWOA members can now buy the DVD from the members area of the club web site at http://www.TriumphWedgeOwners.org. The page went live today. Our initial order pretty much sold out on pre order, but more copies are on the way. Members will also enjoy a sizable discount, so they can consider this one more reason to be in the Club.

Cheers, all.
