These haven't been available for a long time. Last November Simon borrowed a set off me so he could reproduce them. He has just sent me a set and they are an excellent quality part. Highly recommended.

I made mine out of a scrap of old formica from a home remodeling project.
I love it when a repair costs nothing, don't you?

I got some of the stainless steel ones from the guy off ebay, they were great. However, with the big move of mine I am not too sure where they are, so take it I will not be any time soon when I will be fitting them lol.

Hi Guys.... Stainless Steel - or aluminium? Methinks the latter!
I have a pair, but there's no hole in either. I think I bought them for my V8 - and didn't need the hole! Offers?

The pipes to the original air filter...... not needed if you've fitted K&Ns!

The US cars didn't have the air housing tube like the cars sold in the UK. It would have been blank just like the left side.

Maxwell,
If they will fit on my V8 with the radiator in the more forward position I'd be interested. I'm sure I could donate some cash towards the the rally fund in exchange.[:)]

Later U.K. cars didn't require the holes either, as I believe the pipe to the air filter was routed via a manifold offshoot and air temperature sensor. Without the holes they are a lot easier to fabricate satisfactorily on a DIY basis. supercass

actually no.
The NA spec cars had the same useless (no longer needed) holes as your cars did .....
Both my 78 and 82 had the same cut-out, yet neither had/required the airducts going through them..... though I have always thought it might be a good thing to add, as it would direct cooler outside air into the carbs, instead of simply breathing in the hot air from the engine compartment????
