Wheel Offset

I'm looking to upgrade my wheels from standard alloys with 205/60/13 tyres to a set of Minilites 15 x 6 with 205/50/15 tyres. The rolling radius should be pretty much spot on but I'm not 100% sure about the offset required with the wider rims.I think the standard alloys have a 25mm offset, as the new tyres will be the same width as the old ones a 25mm offset on the new wheels should keep the tyres in the same place but the rim would poke out slightly more on both sides, or do I need slightly less offset, say 20mm, to keep the inside edge of the wheel in the same place, but then risking catching the outside edge on full lock?
What offset do the MGF/Montego alloys have as these seem to be a straight swap for a TR. Need to get this right before I order as it will be an expensive mistake if they're wrong.
