When I replaced my engine Jerry i'm afraid I wasn't very adventurous and went for a black block and silver head.

My missus says i'm not very good when it comes to color coordination so when she gets out of bed I will ask her for you.[:)]

actual paint colour for a TR7 block is black, along with the trans.
The head and trans bellhousing are left in natural alluminum

The valve cover is either silver or blue, I think they where colour coded depending on area sent to (that was the case with Spitfires which had orange or blue valve colours.) My California car was silver and it goes with any colour scheme, blue doesn't. You can paint match the engine with car colour but it stands out as a non original which may or may not be what you're after.
