Sealant Recommendations?

Hi folks,

I have recently replaced two temperature sensors. One in the manifold (which runs the temp gauge in the instrument cluster) and the other in the side of the radiator (which triggers the electric fans - this is an A/C car).

However, I am getting some weeping from both units. I was wondering whether any users of this forum have used any sealant product over the gaskets/seals that are supplied with the replacement parts?

I am losing probably about a quater of a litre per weekend of driving.

I've used Hylomar in similar situations, with good results.

Thanks. I might give a hylomar sealant a try. I'm a bit concerned that that tape might not be conductive enough for the temp sensor to earth properly on the manifold.
