You are not alone ..........I go through these phases at least twice a year!
Little back ground here , I'm now in my early 40's, my wedge falls somewhere between the 2nd or 3rd car, it's impractical, can not be used for most daily chores, or take the whole family anywhere, and is not driven during the winter, and after 11 years, it's the car I've owned the longest in my life! I've got a mortgage, a half renovated house, I'm married with three kids and my oldest daughter will be driving next year.....I work for a north American car company, all of my fun cars were domestic v8'S, 4 of which were Mustangs.....
I really should be driving something else, my heart bleeds for another 'stang, I lust for Buick Grand Nationals, Monte Carlo SS's, and 1970's full Size GM convertibles, and lately wish I had gotten into motorcycles instead of cars....
My bucket list of cars includes anything related to Mini Austin, Volkswagen GTI's & Westfalia camper vans, RatRods, oldschool woody stationwagons, and factory Police cars!
The only thing that keeps me from letting go is the family heritage I have with this little silver dhc and so hopefully one day before I'm too old (hint to wifey ; maybe it would be my 50th birthday wish??) ...I'll get around to building that garage in the back yard, and finally be able to do what I really want to do with the wedge to make it a permanent keeper......... install a v8!!
