Quarter window problem

My drivers side door quarter window sticks out funny. The passenger side is fine. I took the door card off and peeked inside, nothing seems bent or out of place. Instead of the top of the window nestling inside the windshield frame and under the top (hood) header, it sticks out even with them. I can push it in by hand, but it doesn't feel loose or out of place. The header for the top was bent down a bit so I bent it back up out of the way. (Ignore the fact that the top has been installed improperly...i'll get that fixed eventually) Hopefully the pics will tell the story:

Passengers side, seems fine:

Has anyone else had this happen and any clues as to how to fix it? Like I said, nothing seems weird inside the door.

The frame is held on by two bolts, washers and nuts. There should be some adjustment in the frame both in and out and to align with windshield frame (with spacers/washers). Had a fellow wedge owner comment on how well mine lined up compared to his and I attributed it to my Solihull car versus his Canley (although I had removed them for painting and reinstalled). Now I wonder as I saw a Solihull Spider last weekend with poorly aligned frame although it had been in an accident previously.

On the other hand it might just be bent.[xx(]

Hmm, so maybe I could add some washers to the mount that controls it's side to side placement.

What ever it takes. There should be some play in the bolt holes as well.

Well I fixed it! And it was easy!! There are three bolts that hold that window frame in place. There SHOULD be three bolts any way. You got me thinking and I nosed around inside the door again. Apparently when it was build time it got down to go on break, or put in that third bolt, and break time won! It was very apparent there had never been a bolt in place there. It was easy to get to too and i had one that fit perfectly!

I LOVE a free fix!

Great! I had said two thinking about the front ones but had forgot about the third. Chalk it up to old age. Now that I'm collecting OAP I can now officially use that excuse.[:D]

I just checked the passenger side and it too was missing this bolt! Somehow that window was properly aligned, but I still added a bolt. Crazy stuff!
