North East TR Drivers Meeting

Postby paulheritage » 19 Aug 2011 23:25

In an attempt to get more TR7 owners meeting in the North East (NE postcode) I would like to make myself available as a contact point. There isn't currently too many TR7 owners in the TR Drivers Club, but the lack of NE meeting may be putting some people off joining - catch 22.

For many years i was involved with the TR Drivers Club in the North East but many owners disappeared, or sold their cars, or had family commitments and the current organisers just gave up. I would like to re-try and get the TR7 owners back together and the current clubs in the area tend to favour earlier cars.

Rather than turning up to a meeting just by myself to start with it seems sensible to partner (initially) with the TR Register Northmbria Group, as i will be there anyway.

From September the meeting place is monthly at the Skiff Inn near the Metro Centre off the A1. More details to follow but please contact me if interested - 0791 700 5392.

Sounds great and I agree with your points to why the North East lacks steer, its not the case of trying. There was a small group of us up here that meet up a few times but unfortunately the coordinator passed away (Ali) fondly remembered on this forum and nothings happened since then really.
