One of our old office chairs fell apart, leaving just the lower part in good order, I added some metal to get this:

Can you guess what happened next?

AARGH! I've been trying to buy one of those seats in blue tartan for a year now, and you get to do this!

I finally bought a set of used seat upholstery and have been rebuilding my current seat, but the diaphram is split and the bottom cushions aren't as solid as they should be. So I'll be replacing them too. It would have just been easier to replace the whole seat.
