Engine colors

What colors were used for the airbox and valve cover on the TR7? Mine has a black airbox and a silver valve cover. I'm thinking of painting them but I would like to use something original.

Black air plenum and silver valve cover (original) colours on mine (FI) and I think they are same for carbs. I believe some years of some cars were different (Federal/California) not sure about other markets. I think some cars had a blue valve cover. Don't know why the colour change (or not). Spitfires had orange and blue valve covers depending on whether they were Californian or Federal/Canada editions probably as an easy identification as to which was to go where.

Ya, I seen a few original 7's (including one Spyder I once owned) have a blue valve cover. It was similar to Chrysler's (light) blue.
