Roy,

Your cars look very well on the front cover etc, nice touch with the Red, White and Blue beach shelters in the back ground.

Howard Griffiths is the man behind the new look to the magazine. He's a first class designer and has made an amazingly good transformation to what was already a very good club magazine.

By the way, Howard designed the 'Code Name Bullet' DVD cover and when that first appeared via email one lunchtime I was bowled over. It was so successful I've cribbed the style ever since!!!

By the way, the TRDC seems to be getting a lot of coverage in the classic car press right now. Take a look at page 90 of Classic Car Mart for TR7 article in there along with a new club advert and also when you enter the Stoneleigh show this weekend the organizers have published a glossy magazine that will be given to everyone going through the doors within which the TRDC have sponsored a three page TR7/TR8/Bullet/Lynx article. There's been plenty of other coverage too and it's good to see the club back on the map.

John, Where you behind the Classic Car mart article? Some nice pictures of Gills FHC that classic car mart took at a photo shoot last year, I presume they own the copyright to these as we gave permission for the original shoot and thus they can do what they please with them. Nice to see the photos, but would have been nice to have some recognition as owner.

It's a reprint of an article I wrote roughly a year ago for the TR8CCA newsletter
(OK OK Jim, the TWOA newsletter) on off-loading the switches (and fusebox) the rather heavy
current load of the front lights: You throw in a handful of relays - and the main light switches
will have an (almost) eternal life...[8D]
It's in the current TR Action as well... Who's next? Australia? Sweden? Germany? South Africa?
The more, the merrier - and a bigger chance of saving a switch or two...

yes really enjoyed this issue, and really interested in the rewire on the lighting switch as am looking to alter my dash to slot the radio in where the switches are now and move the switches to the side of the radio. looks like that rewire would really help my move....

I would just like to thank all of the above for their contributions to our latest magazine, it makes me feel proud to see that the club has such an enthusiastic following.
The latest edition of Classic car mart contains a super TR7 buyers guide written by John Clancy. It also features one of my favourite cars, the superb Persian aqua FHC owned by Andy Healeys wife Gill.

I just gave Chris Hope some help with the Classic Car Mart article. I felt it would be nice to have one published that was reasonably accurate and I think Chris managed that. Lots of the information came from discussions we've had regarding problem areas on this forum so we're all to blame really.

Andy, the photos of Gill's car are in the Kelsey archive and as it's probably the best fixed head photo shoot they've done they'll get used at every opportunity. Those of us in the club can probably identify the car anyway so you're doing the TR7 a good turn every time they're used. I immediately said "that's Gill's car!" when I saw the little image on the front cover.

Nice plug for the TRDC from Simon Bennett in Triumph World too, plus a nice Howard Griffiths designed advert. Well done chaps!

John, It was actually a very good article, some nice tips. We have a copy to add to our collection. THe photographer was very good on the day, he hung out of a New Mini to get the low down shots at speed.
