Only for individuals that are stuck using the 3.5 but it seems that more and more racing organizations are letting the 3.9/4.0/4.2 and 4/6 engines in over the original 3.5s. It is also a matter of taste. I grew up with 3.5 in TR8s that went through the modifications so to me it is the cornerstone for my hobby.

Mine's wraped in a garbage bag, taking up a small corner of the garage. It give's me a warm fuzzy feeling knowing it's there. I doubt any monetary value it could fetch would replace that feeling. Plus it's the OE engine, in case somehow these things become worth silly money in original condition. Don't think that will happen in my life but you never know.[;)]
