Volt meter

My conversion is beginning to come alive and I have a simple question.

My volt gauge is right around the 3/4 mark during the brief times I have had the engine running.

What does it mean when the volt gauge is on the high side or on the low side? Is mine in about the right spot?

That sounds about right to me. Mine normally hovers around the 3/4 mark, the more electrics I have on it tends to dip. If under normal operating it is low this indicates either a battery or charging problem.

Volt meter position can vary depending on a variety of causes but that's about the right area. Put a voltmeter across the battery and you should get between 13.5 and 14.5 volts when the engine is running a more accurate reading than the voltmeter.
