Two for $200

So there I was with my daughter at the bus stop and a neighbor came over and we started talking. Out of this conversation came two things: one my wife needs better communication skills and two almost free wedges. I found out two weeks ago Chris my neighbor had a coworker with two wedges in his drive way he wants taken away. Yes taken away! Now it gets better......after getting a phone number and great conversation I agreed since the cars have paper work they are worth $200.00 in a completely unseen state. Ok so you’re asking what are they, what are they, WHAT ARE THEY!

The first is a 1980 white TR7 drop head with a NOS 5-speed gearbox installed with a black dash and tan check interior. He bought it in 1984.

The second is a TCN15 series TR8 coupe. It’s a 5-speed, AC, Tan interior orange coupe with 47,000 miles. He is the 2nd owner and bought it back in 1988?

I have my people arranged to pick them up tomorrow morning. It is a 30 minute drive! So I owe the neighbor big time who is from the UK! I will be taking tons of pictures.

Michael, you may think you have a bargain there but in my experience you will pay double the purchase price in the first 3 years of ownership. I just hope you have the income to support the ... um ... (200x2=400/3=133.33) the $133.33 per year costs these cars are going to incur! [:p]

Actually 190. This car was sold new in New Jersey to a couple then sold to the current owner with 7200 miles in 1984. That is what is on the title. Now the car has 47,000 miles and besides the distributor is 100% original less tires!

The convertible TR7 is a 1980 with 87,000 miles and it is very solid with original paint. It has a NOS 1981 5 Speed 10,000 miles ago. I am sure it could becone a driver with some front end rework.

190 is not on the data base.

Beauty, nice day's haul.

Just have to say on the coupe...that'll buff right out.

Right!...except for the front end, that will need a little Bondo.

Good grief. Did they keep that red one parked in the pool! Great parts haul though. Funny how you can buy an engine cheaper if it is still attached to a wreck. [8D]

Ok so the red car was parked slightly under a tree but the paint itself I think was poor from day one. In the boxes of parts were so many littleparts but included was a ton of NOS stuff and a brake kit. This will be used on the rally car!
