The Dashboard Printed circuit

Postby zekow1 » 06 Sep 2010 15:46

HI Guys
My clock , Temp unit and some lights on my left where not working.
The car would not charge even thought I had a new alternator 100AMp.
Well connected and installed.

So I took out the instrument panel and followed the mystery dash blue lines to see if there was a cut somewhere and of course Yap.
welded a few spots and the car was charging very well.

Still the temp and clock did not work ... Soooo
I took it out again and tested them with a nine watt batery and they worked just fine .
all the bulbs lighted up fine to so.

The Printed circuit is caput.

any suggestions???
UHHHH I have an old dash unit but the board is also dead .

Nope it's still not running, Maybe Next week

I had a light or two that was not working. By doing continuity checks of the printed circuits I was able to find breaks in a wire. I bypassed the breaks by soldering in a small wire and taping it down.
