What Color for the lower wind screen panel

I borrowed this picture, not my car. But I don't know how you describe this panel.
Anyway, does everyone paint this panel black or do you make it body color?
I just posted my "White TR7 V6" project on the V6 part of this forum. the car will be all white, including the bumpers and the vents behind the door. I think I want this wiper panel to be white also, but I don't want to commit some kind of Cardinal Sin.

As far as I know they were all 'silk' black from Triumph, but then all the bumpers and vents were black too..............Not sure there is a cardinal sin with these cars, especially after fitting a V6.

That picture does look vaguely familiar. [:D] That panel comes off pretty easy, especially if the wiper arms are already off. Mine was very dull and rusty when I got the car. I took the piece off and wire brushed it and painted it with a Krylon black satin rattle can.
This is the same car two years ago.

Thanks for the use of your photo. It looks like it will clean up real easy, and it looks good in black on your car.
What about a car like the one below, is the piece black or white?

Yup! I agree.
Windscreen lower panel in Satin Black and I would also palnt the windscreen surround in Satin Black [8D].

Do you mean the chrome strip? Because when I was getting my car painted I asked about making that black too. They suggested another shop that will apply a black tape to the chrome. It will only cost about $150 and it is guaranteed to stay on, plus if you ever want to go back to the chrome, you just peel it off. After everything else is done I may have that done too.

Yes, the chrome strip surrounding the windscreen.
Gave mine a rub down, masked off surrounding area, spray can of undercoat and a spray can of satin black. Job done, and a lot cheaper than $150 [:0].

The panels were satin black on all cars. I stripped mine down with aircraft paint stripper, treated the few rust spots underneath with Metalready to get rid of rust and etch the rest of surface leaving a coat of zinc. Sprayed on Trim Paint from ProForma (which is satin black).

If you paint it white it will certainly stand out. (If that's what you want.)

Sounds like satin black is the only color used. My gutter strips above the doors are white, but I think I'll make this wiper panel satin black.
Thanks for all the input. If anyone did body color let me know

My gutter strips are now body color too. I'm thinking about leaving them that way.

Whats the thoughts on painting the screen frame satin black instead of body colour?
