They still need to wet sand, cut, and glaze. He is also going to do the inside of the wheel wells in black. At least it is back on track now.

Pretty car,

Always thought they looked great in that colour - one day I will get mine painted all over in one shade of Poseidon green!

When was your car built Jim? My car is a California Car built in October79 for the 80 market but it never made it over the pond as it was kept by the factory.

Cheers
Ian

Ian, Thanks. I'm a bit embarrassed but I don't know the build date of my car off of the top of my head. I know that the '69 TR6 I had 30 years ago was built in June of '69 and it's VIN was CC29007L. I'm not sure why I remember that. I'll have to take a lot when I visit the TR8 tomorrow. Definitely not a California car though, never had fuel injection. She was originally Poseidon but now is somewhere between Poseidon and Triton. The Poseidon still shows in the engine bay on my signature photos though.

lookin'cooler by the day-just curious, is that a vehicle storage lot, or did you sneak your car out for a photo-op? just noting the lack of allegedly necessary bits like bumpers, lights, license plates amongst a bunch of apparently road-worthy cars(I like the '70 GTO in the background![:D])

The lot belongs to the shop. There are cars and bits of cars everywhere. They have two 57 T-birds in the shop right now. One is a show car that is pretty original, it was rear-ended and they are fixing it. The other has a late model 5 liter fuel injected motor and other mods that they are doing in a blinding purple hue. They said that the guy with the original one would freak if he thought they were painting his car that color.

I'm on my way down to start putting the trim back on. Then on to the interior. I'm still torn between biscuit and beige though. I'll get more photos once I'm done with the trim.

Didn't quite get it all done today. Still have the headlights and door handles. I'm pretty pleased with the door shut lines now that the latches are back on. They were setting up their garage band for a jam tonight. I'll go back tomorrow to finish it up.
