So, I need to replace all these rusty pieces.

What has been used in the past for the 10 x ZKC 227 pieces?

Well, I used brand new ZKC227's - got them from Rick @ S&S some years ago...

One of the team here on the forum took some off a USA wreck for me, a real life saver! When I got them I had them freshly zinc plated and they look almost new.

Perhaps you should ask in the parts for sale part of the forum. Fortunately there were more cars sold to the USA than anywhere else so these clips must be available in the USA off wrecks.

ZKC2251 are not the correct shape for the rubber bumpers and the drawings don't show the little clips that go inside the slots on the bumper rubber.

If you are going to remove your rusty ones, use PB Blaster the day before and about 45 seconds of "Freeze-Off" just before you try to unbolt them. Be sure to hold the top end securely while removing the nut.

Those are the wrong clips, It dawned on me a while ago. Those are for the Convertible. I need Coupe clips

The USA ones for rubber bumpers are sort of pyramid shaped (ZKC221) and the UK ones are oblong (ZKC2251) as per the URL you put up.

Here is how I reused old rusty clips:

The biggest problem in removing these is that the nuts are rusted to the thread and when you turn them you snap the threaded rod off the plate. Having snapped off a few I then found that I could hit the nut with an angle grinder so that one face was gone. After this it is easy to split the nut off and the plate falls away.

I take the old plates and have them zinc plated again, this cleans them up nicely and removes all rust. Yes some were badly damaged by rust but many were able to be salvaged. Considering the price of new ones I found this to be an economic solution.

They are just a piece of plate with the center counter sunk
and a bolt through the middle.
I made a set in a day out of Stainless steel and they look and work fine
just buy a peace of 3mm thick SS strap cut it up and drill holes and fit SS bolts to the center

I took my Dremel to it and cut into the nut, I just don't know how far to cut in.

You cut in till the threads on the bolt just appear and no more. Slight thread damage really does not matter in this location and you are having them plated again anyway.

My 4" angle grinder also takes away a large side of the nut rather than a more precision cut like a dremel (been meaning to buy one of those). I think that it is the removal of so much of the nut plus the heat that really releases the nut. After you complete the grinding you just tap at the nut with a screwdriver to release it and either split it or wind off the remains.
