Correct, the colour on that Scirocco is exactly the same as on the Scirocco's at the end of the 70's ...

Image

It's called Vipern Green.
And indeed almost the same as Triton Green ...

On the right is Leyland’s Triton green on the Left Volkswagen Vipern Green.

I wonder if the colour is rarely seen in N/A because it's a continent thing. How many in N/A like the colour? They all seems to be in Europe. I've never seen one around here except for Ron's son's car that was repainted from blue. When I first brought mine home from Sacramento I pulled into Old Farm Market to pick up some veggies and there was a TR7 parked there that was a pale green metallic (not Triton I'm sure). A girl drove off with it just ahead of me and continued on north out of town as I turned off. I've never seen or heard of the car after that. It just disappeared as if a ghost car. I continually consider painting Yellow TCT in Triton Green because I like it, it is a rare colour except it is the colour of Cale's coupe. I haven't decided.

I much prefer the old Scirocco, whatever the colour....
My dad had one in River-blue, a sort of bright version of Persian Aqua!

Sadly, he's gone now - and so's his car!

It was also the launch colour for the last Lambo.

I think I still like Poseidon Green better, but maybe if my 8 was Triton Green, the kid who asked if it was a Ferrari would have thought it a Lambo...
