Davies Craig electric water pump.

Postby Bobbieslandy » 22 May 2010 15:06

Hi,

Having totally fubar'd my mech waterpump last night (overhauling one at 3am isn't a good idea) i'm considering an electric water pump. I have searched the forums on here and have found some references but none that have used one and are pleased with it. I've already started turning a stainless plug for the waterpump cavity, so that part is not a problem.

I do have a spare mech waterpump but am in two minds on which direction to take. Any thoughts or experiences would be ace.

Rob.

I know Clint from Woody's has one on his TR8. I'm sure he will be happy to give you his opionon on them.

Saving the horse power to turn the wheels instead of a water pump makes sense.

Might be worth asking over at the Dolomite website, as I know a few have tried it on their Sprints...

£250 ouch! I managed to build another waterpump out of a few spares so that'll do me for now. Thanks for the post though!
