Just out of interest, has anyone put a Stag V8 in a TR7/8? seems an obvious engine to put in to me. [:)]
A halfway house between the sprint 2L 16V and the Rover 3.5L V8?

And a very heavy option too ...

A stag with sprint heads and an alloy block. Now, I would put that in! Anyone care to do some casting?

If someone could actually do it I would put my order in now! It sure would look the part in the car. I like the sound of the Stag and just imagine a 32v short stroke high reving engine. Hummm... I want one. If only I had any machining skills.

when you're at the casting why settle with such old head design?

yup,
the sickest v8 assembled from other engines ive seen is that hayabusa derived V8
http://www.h1v8.com/page/page/1562069.htm , 400hp , 90kg engine [:D] , price is equally impressive.
engine block is not that difficult to make, heads are the tricky part of the engine

Sometimes multi-valve V8s are good in theory but other times they really should have done a mock up before committing it to metal. [:0]
